Welcome, friends and families. I’m Larina, the founder of Pierce IEP Consulting.
In the past decade, I have successfully advocated on behalf of my own daughter and many other students receiving special education services across North Carolina. My consulting work highlights my attention to detail, strategic thinking, and genuine compassion for families seeking the education their children deserve.
I have extensive training in communications, law, and educational consulting, all of which played a part in my recent certification as a Master IEP Coach®. I’m also the proud mother of Camille, a spunky young lady who has Down syndrome, and her younger sister, Nora, who is equal parts spunk. My husband and I live in Davidson, a vibrant college town just north of Charlotte.
I’m truly glad you are here. It will be my privilege to hear your story and to offer you guidance that will have a lasting impact on your child’s future.
Pierce IEP Consulting will conduct a thorough review of your child's IEP or 504 plan, observation data, professional assessments, school correspondence, and other critical documents.
During our consulting sessions, I will address your top concerns and questions regarding your child's education. You will then receive an Advocacy Action Plan with professional recommendations and next steps.
Pierce IEP Consulting also offers Welcome to IEP packages for preschool parents; Behavior Intervention Plans; All About Me/Student Profile sheets; IEP Meeting Attendance; and other customized services as needed.
Master IEP Coaches® are a national network of highly trained and dedicated consultants who work with parents, teachers, and administrators on developing meaningful IEPs and 504 plans for special education students across America.
"Larina very recently and very successfully helped me navigate a tricky time in my son’s school career. He needed to add a behavior plan (or BIP for those who speak alphabet soup) due to some recurring difficult behaviors. I was really nervous because we were also updating his annual IEP and his goals. Larina gave specific advice but also talked me down from a nervous ledge by helping me frame my thinking overall. So she’s the big picture but also knowledgeable about the details and can answer a variety of IEP and school questions. I highly recommend her!"
"There is no substitute for having a skilled support person working with you as you navigate through your child’s educational needs. Larina was beyond knowledgeable, professional and always had our child’s best interest in mind. She made sure our questions were answered and regulations were being followed. Because of the amount of support and resources our family received from Larina, our child is now extremely happy and thriving both academically and socially in school and within his community."
"I have seen Larina work empathetically and successfully with a broad range of students and families. Always dedicated to her clients, Larina is not only a smart and hard worker, she is creative and always professional. Larina has my enthusiastic recommendation."
